What is a Prosthodontist?
According to the American College of Prosthodontists, a prosthodontist is a dentist who:
1. Specializes in the esthetic (cosmetic) restoration and replacement of teeth.
2. Receives three to four years of additional formal training after dental school.
3. Restores optimum appearance and function to your smile.
4. Becoming a prosthodontist requires an additional three years of postgraduate specialty training after obtaining a dental degree. This specialty education provides knowledge and skills beyond the training of general dentists and includes advanced level lectures, courses, clinical and laboratory experiences, patient care and scholarly research. Prosthodontists are trained to treat complex restorative cases, TMJ therapy, the placement and restoration of dental implants, as well as sleep apnea disorders. A Prosthodontist is the skilled architect who can restore optimal function and appearance to your smile. Prosthodontists are the only ADA recognized dental specialty under which the concentration of cosmetic/esthetic dentistry falls.

Upon completion of his specialty training, Dr. Nawrocki relocated to Jacksonville, setting up his practice in Orange Park. He and his wife, Kandi, have been married for five years and they have a vivacious one year old son, Bruce.  Dr. Matthew and his family are active members of St. Pauls's Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach.  He enjoys working out, reading, hunting, and playing on the beach with his family.
